After a roaring start to 2022 where I finished 5 books in January, February was a little low-key. Maybe because it has fewer days compared to January or I was reading lengthier books compared to last month, I don’t know exactly. Nevertheless, I’m on track to completing 24 books this year which is my target. In fact, I’m 4 books ahead as of now. Anyway, so this month, I was able to complete two books, which are as follows.

  1. Diamonds in the Dust: Consistent Compounding for Extraordinary Wealth Creation by Saurabh Mukherjea, Rakshit Ranjan, and Salil Desai

I had previously read Coffee Can Investing by the same author Saurabh Mukherjea and this one had got my attention since it was released. I’m still trying to figure out the different ways I can invest my money in equities and that has taken me into reading different finance books. Like my friend had mentioned, this book refreshed the concepts of accounting and corporate finance that I had studied during my MBA. Overall, a very good book but you need to understand at least the basics of finance.

2. Gerrard: My Autobiography by Steven Gerrard

Being a Liverpool fan, I had purchased this book on my Kindle back in 2018 itself but somehow, had never managed to read it until this month. A little bit dated and this is actually the first of the two autobiographies written by Captain Fantastic Stevie G. It covers the events in Stevie’s life right from the very beginning till the 2006–07 season. So, it is definitely dated but a nice book nevertheless if you happen to be a football in general, and a Liverpool fan in particular.

I’m currently reading two other books and hope to finish them soon so that they make the cut for the March 2022 post. Until then, stay tuned and happy reading :)
